I don’t think this is a fair test of knowledge regarding British culture. A lot of the questions are more historical academia than awareness of culture. I was a teacher and unless my students were studying history I would not expect them to know some of the answers. I think the question setters are out of touch with what it really means to be a citizen and what a citizen ought to know or of what to be aware. Disappointing.
The Spitfire and Hurrican WERE important planes in the Battle of France – a battle the UK was also also involved in.
